El Comité tendrá la misión de recopilar y estudiar las informaciones relacionadas con las finanzas de los grupos alzados en armas, con el fin de recomendar a la Comisión Interinstitucional las iniciativas que permitan la adecuación de los mecanismos de orden legal, tendientes a desvertebrar la estructura financiera de la subversión. El Comité podrá invitar a sus reuniones a representantes de las distintas entidades del Estado que considere conveniente para el cumplimiento de su tarea, pero en todo caso, la información que maneje el Comité tendrá el carácter de reservado.
