Quedan comprendidos dentro de las disposiciones de la Ley 129 de 1896 los tranvías de una anchura entre rieles de una yarda, que se construyan en Municipios importantes de la República, destinados al servicio público, que conecten con ferrocarriles de esa anchura, con ríos o con lagos navegables, con un puerto de mar o con otro Municipio, y que llenen las demás condiciones exigidas en la mencionada Ley.
