El auxilio prudencial de que trata el decreto 517, de 2 de junio de 1913, con la modificación del artículo 1° del decreto 1184 de 10 de junio de 1919 puede también tener lugar cuando se esté en expectativa de la segunda o siguientes recompensas ordinarias y su cuantía será proporcional a la suma que habría correspondido si se hubiera servido el tiempo necesario para obtener la respectiva recompensa ordinaria.
