Son armas de colección todas aquellas de fabricación anterior al año de 1900, originales o réplicas de cualquier tipo, clase o condición, sin restricciones. También las modernas que integren o hagan parte de un museo público o privado, siempre y cuando se cumplan las normas sobre desactivación y control dictadas por el Comando General de las Fuerzas Militares.
