La nación exalta y rinde homenaje a la celebración de los 200 años de la Batalla de Pienta, librada el 4 de agosto de 1819 por los pobladores de los municipios de Charalá, Coromoro, Ocamonte y Encino en el departamento de Santander. Se reconoce, exalta y rinde homenaje a los “Héroes de Pienta” por su valioso aporte a la gesta libertadora, al cumplirse el bicentenario de la independencia.
