El endoso debe hacerse por todo el valor del instrumento. Un endoso que sólo se proponga transferir al endosatario una parte de la suma pagable o que se proponga transferir el instrumento a dos o más endosatarios separadamente, no equivale a una negociación del instrumento. Pero si éste ha sido pagado en parte, puede ser endosado por el resto.
