La presente ley tiene por objeto incentivar el uso de la bicicleta como medio principal de transporte en todo el territorio nacional; incrementar el número de viajes en bicicleta, avanzar en la mitigación del impacto ambiental que produce el tránsito automotor y mejorar la movilidad urbana.
