La visa temporal podrá ser expedida hasta por un término de un (1) año, por el Jefe de una Oficina Consular de la República, autorizado para ello por la Cancillería, al extranjero que venga al país con el propósito de permanecer en él y trabajar en la actividad declarada al solicitarla. Esta visa sólo podrá ser expedida en el país de origen o de última residencia del solicitante.
