º Los Gobernadores suprimirán las Prefecturas de Provincia creadas con posterioridad al año de 1888, que no sean necesarias para el servicio público, y agregarán los Municipios que forman tales Provincias a las que existían antes de la creación de estas. Las providencias que se dicten de acuerdo con le preceptuado en este artículo, deber ser consultadas con el Poder Ejecutivo y aprobadas o improbadas por este.
