La presente ley tiene por objeto establecer los lineamientos para la política pública de gestión integral de los Residuos de Aparatos Eléctricos y Electrónicos (RAEE) generados en el territorio nacional. Los RAEE son residuos de manejo diferenciado que deben gestionarse de acuerdo con las directrices que para el efecto establezca el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible.
