Para ascender de Teniente Médico a Capitán Médico se necesita haber servido con buen éxito dos años en el puesto anterior y haber adquirido el diploma de doctor en Medicina y cirugía, expedido por algunas de las Facultades de Medicina existentes en el país, o de las de cualquiera otro, cumpliéndose el requisito de la última parte del artículo anterior.
