El explotador de petróleo de propiedad particular que no diere cumplimiento a lo dispuesto en los artículos 98 y 99. dentro de los plazos que ellos señalan, será penado de acuerdo con la Ley, con multas sucesivas de cincuenta pesos ($50) a cinco mil pesos ($5.000) por cada día de demora, las que serán impuestas administrativamente por el Ministerio de Minas y Petróleo a favor del Tesoro Nacional, de conformidad con el artículo 67 y teniendo en cuenta la importancia o gravedad del caso de que se trate.
