En la medida en que los recursos del Fondo de Garantías de Instituciones Financieras excedan los requerimientos que tenga para el desempeño de sus funciones, deberá destinar los recursos sobrantes a inversiones en los papeles del Banco de la República que determine la Junta Monetaria.
