Si los papeles que deben ser habidos estuvieren en libro o protocolo que no pueda extraerse del sitio en que se hallare, se hará su reconocimiento en presencia del encargado de su custodia, o de otra persona autorizada por él para este efecto; mas si por no detener el curso de las diligencias el funcionario de instrucción suspendiere el reconocimiento para continuarlo después, se custodiarán los libros o protocolos de modo que no pueda hacerse en ellos alteración alguna.
