Antes de su faenamiento, las reses deberán tener un periodo de descanso que no debe ser inferior a doce (12) horas. Cuando quiera que se presenten síntomas de cansancio o excitación, el Médico Veterinario Inspector podrá, a su juicio, ampliar el número de horas señaladas.
