Siempre que una persona sea capturada por la Policía, debe ser registrada inmediatamente con el fin de despojarla de las armas o elementos nocivos que lleve consigo y los que puedan provenir de la comisión de un delito. Si la persona capturada presenta lesiones, un médico oficial, de preferencia, deberá ser llamado para que verifique la naturaleza de ellas y le preste la asistencia que sea necesaria.
