Para Los Efectos De Este Decreto, Se Entiende Por Vehículo Automotor Todo Aparato Provisto De Un Motor Propulsor, Destinado A Circular Por El Suelo Para El Transporte De Personas O De Bienes, Incluyendo Cualquier Elemento Montado Sobre Ruedas Que Le Sea Acoplado

Decreto 2544 de 1987 · por el cual se reglamentan los artÃculos 115 y 116 de la Ley 33 de 1986 (artÃculos 259 y 260 del Decreto-ley 1344 de 1970) y 3Âº de la Ley 16 de 1979.

° Para los efectos de este Decreto, se entiende por vehículo automotor todo aparato provisto de un motor propulsor, destinado a circular por el suelo para el transporte de personas o de bienes, incluyendo cualquier elemento montado sobre ruedas que le sea acoplado. No quedan comprendidos dentro de esta definición

Los vehículos que circulan sobre rieles;

Los vehículos agrícolas e industriales, siempre y cuando no circulen por vías o lugares públicos por sus propios medios. OTORGAMIENTO OBLIGATORIO DEL SEGURO .
