La letra debe ser protestada en el lugar del rechazo, excepto cuando es pagadera en el lugar de los negocios o residencia de alguna persona distinta del girado, pues si es rechazada por no aceptación, debe protestarse por no pago en el lugar donde es pagadera y en este caso innecesaria nueva presentación para el pago al girado.
