Cuando fallezca un miembro del Cuerpo de Custodia y Vigilancia Penitenciaria Nacional, el Ministerio de Justicia pagará directamente, con cargo a su respectivo presupuesto, los gastos funerarios correspondientes por un monto equivalente a tres (3) salarios mínimos legales vigentes en el momento del fallecimiento. El pago se efectuará mediante la presentación de los comprobantes respectivos, debidamente autenticados, a la persona que demuestre haber sufragado los gastos.
