Control de agentes y materiales infecciosos y tóxicos, vectores y reservorios. Consiste en las medidas y procedimientos existentes para el control o eliminación de agentes o materiales infecciosos y tóxicos, vectores y reservorios, presentes en las personas, animales, plantas, materia inerte, productos de consumo u otros objetos inanimados, que puedan constituir un riesgo para la salud pública. Incluyen desinfección, descontaminación, desisfestación, desinsectación y desratización. (Artículo 45 del Decreto 3518 de 2006)
