Para los efectos de otorgamiento imposición y expedición del diploma respectivo, la medalla queda incluida en la categoría de que trata el Capítulo V del Decreto 1880 de 1988 y se considera Medalla "Servicios Distinguidos" prestados a la Escuela de Suboficiales del Ejército, siendo aplicables los artículos 69, 70, 71 y 72 del citado decreto.
