Las platerías, joyerías, agencias de compraventa y empeño, los almacenes de repuestos, los vendedores ambulantes, y, en general, todas las personas o entidades que se dediquen al comercio de objetos de segunda mano, o a la transformación de objetos metálicos o de piedras preciosas o de objetos de arte, y otras operaciones similares, quedan bajo el control y permanente vigilancia del Departamento de Investigación e identificación de la Policía Nacional.
