Los Oficiales y Suboficiales de la Policía Nacional, serán retirados en forma absoluta del servicio, cuando les sobreviniere incapacidad absoluta y permanente o gran invalidez, de acuerdo con el concepto que emita la Sanidad de la Policía con base en el Reglamento correspondiente o cuando cumpliere sesenta y cinco (65) años los Oficiales y sesenta y tres (63) los Suboficiales, edad en que cesa toda obligación policiva.
