Los reos destinados a la Colonia a quienes por su carácter indomable o sus instintos feroces no fuere posible reducir por medios suaves al cumplimiento de sus deberes, podrán ser colocados en piezas separadas en absoluto asilamiento por el tiempo necesario para obtener su corrección. Con los demás reos no se emplearán más prisiones que las absolutamente necesarias, ni se les aplicarán otros castigos correccionales que los establecidos en los Reglamentos.
