Las entidades de que se trata, procurarán dirigir sus trabajos al estudio de los asuntos netamente colombianos, para desarrollar el progreso patrio, y muy especialmente a la acertada solución de los problemas que, en los varios departamentos de la ciencia, está vinculado el interés nacional.
