El que goza de una servidumbre puede hacer las obras indispensables para ejercerla; pero serán a su costa, si no se ha establecido lo contrario; y aun cuando el dueño del predio sirviente se haya obligado a hacerlas o repararlas, le será lícito exonerarse de la obligación, abandonando la parte del predio en que deban hacerse o conservarse las obras.
