El Contador Mayordomo será el encargado de comprar los víveres, y llevará un libro de despensa, donde anotará diariamente el gasto de provisiones, detallando cada artículo. Este libro será examinado al fin de cada mes por el Capitán del buque, quien le pondrá el "visto bueno," si lo encontrare conforme con sus antecedentes y con las partidas que deben anotarse en el libro de caja.
