Los notarios, bien sean de servicio o de carrera deberán renunciar una vez cumplan la edad de retiro forzoso. El retiro se producirá a solicitud del interesado del Ministerio Público, de la Superintendencia de Notariado y Registro o de oficio, dentro del mes siguiente a la ocurrencia de la causal, salvo que se trate de un notario en propiedad caso en el cual podrá terminar el período en curso.
