º. Objeto. El presente decreto reglamenta las condiciones y los requisitos generales que deberán ser atendidos por la Federación Paraolímpica, creada por el artículo 13 del Decreto-ley 1228 de 1995, para permitir la cabal aplicación de las normas legales que regulan el Sistema Nacional del Deporte, con el fin de fomentar, patrocinar, atender la práctica de las distintas modalidades deportivas dentro del ámbito nacional e internacional e impulsar programas y proyectos de interés público y social, dirigidos a personas con discapacidades.
