Obligatoriedad de la información de interés en salud pública. Sin perjuicio de la obligación de informar al Sistema de Vigilancia en Salud Pública (Sivigila), por parte de sus integrantes, la comunidad podrá concurrir como fuente informal de datos. En todo caso, cuando se trate de hechos graves que afecten la salud, toda persona natural o jurídica que conozca del hecho deberá dar aviso en forma inmediata a la autoridad sanitaria competente, so pena de hacerse acreedor a las sanciones establecidas en el presente Capítulo.
