Posesión y desempeño del cargo. El defensor tomará posesión de su cargo ante el func ionario correspondiente, jurando cumplir con los deberes que le incumben. Asistirá al capturado o procesado en las diligencias en que la presencia de este sea prescrita por la ley, y lo representará en todos los demás actos del proceso.
