Autorizase al Gobierno para que si lo estimare del caso, y de acuerdo con las necesidades, conveniencias y exigencias que contempla el artículo anterior, haga las gestiones pertinentes para obtener la terminación de los actuales contratos, o de alguno de ellos, en aquellas zonas en donde la libre explotación de los bosques fuere benéfica para los vecinos, y siempre que los arreglos se hagan en forma tal, que no sean gravosos para la Nación.
