Los gobernadores están obligados a cumplir la suspensión o la destitución que solicite el Procurador General de la Nación dentro de los dos (2) días siguientes al recibo de la solicitud. En caso contrario, el Gobernador incurrirá en causal de mala conducta que será investigada y sancionada conforme a las disposiciones de este Título.

Si el Gobernador no cumpliera la suspensión o destitución solicitada dentro del término previsto, el Presidente de la República procederá a decretarlas.
