ARTICULO 1 º. NATURALEZA JURÍDICA Y DENOMINACIÓN . El establecimiento público del orden nacional adscrito al Ministerio de Defensa, creado por el artículo 33 de la Ley 62 de 1993, está dotado de personería jurídica, autonomía administrativa, patrimonio independiente y se denominará "Instituto para la Seguridad Social y Bienestar de la Policía Nacional".

Parágrafo

En ejercicio de la tutela administrativa, corresponde al Ministerio de Defensa Nacional la orientación, coordinación y control del Instituto, en los aspectos de organización, personal y actividades que debe desarrollar éste, de acuerdo con la política general del Gobierno.
