El Fondo de Investigación en Salud (FIS) al que se refiere el artículo 42 de la Ley 643 de 2001, es una cuenta sin personería jurídica, ni planta de personal propia, administrada por el Departamento Administrativo de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (Colciencias) cuyos recursos se asignarán a través del Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social y Colciencias, mediante el Comité que se establece en el presente decreto.
