Comprobación de circunstancias de la muerte para fines de compensación y demás prestaciones. Las circunstancias de modo, tiempo y lugar en que ocurra la muerte de un oficial o suboficial en servicio activo, para los fines determinados en los artículos 139 a 143 del decreto 613 de 1977, se comprobarán mediante investigación administrativa adelantada en la unidad o repartición a la cual perteneciera orgánicamente el fallecido, investigación cuya finalidad y tramitación deben ser las mismas establecidas en el

del artículo 133 del presente decreto.
