Además de sus funciones como entidad consultiva del Gobierno, la Comisión Asesora de Relaciones Exteriores tendrá a su cargo la vigilancia del cumplimiento de la Carrera Diplomática y Consular. El Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores cooperar en esta tarea y pondrá a disposición de la Comisión los elementos que pueda necesitar para desempeñarla.
