Cuando la prestación del servio así lo exija, los abogados de la División de Defensoría Pública de Oficio, podrán recibir o sustituir poderes y actuar como defensores dentro de los asuntos penales que el Jefe de la División autorice, cuando el proceso no pudiere ser atendido o hubiese sido abandonado por un Defensor Público.
