A partir del primero de enero del año de mil novecientos cincuenta y nueve nacionalizase la Escuela Normal Rural Femenina que funciona en el Municipio de Villahermosa, Departamento del Tolima, siendo de cargo de la Nación, a partir de la fecha mencionada, su orientación técnica, dotación y sostenimiento.
