Los organismos que integran el Sistema Nacional del Deporte fomentarán la participación de las personas con limitaciones físicas, sensoriales y psíquicas en sus programas de deporte, recreación, aprovechamiento del tiempo libre y educación física orientándolas a su rehabilitación e integración social, para lo cual trabajarán conjuntamente con las organizaciones respectivas. Además, promoverán la regionalización y especialización deportivas, considerando los perfiles morfológicos, la idiosincrasia y las tendencias culturales de las comunidades.
