ARTICULO 178. Fuga de presos. El que se fugue estando privado de libertad en virtud de auto o sentencia que le haya sido notificado, incurrirá en prisión de seis (6) meses a dos (2) años. Si la fuga se comete mediante empleo de violencia, artificio o engaño, la pena será de uno (1) a cinco (5) años de prisión. Si se tratare de contravención la pena respectiva será de arresto y se disminuirá de una sexta parte a la mitad.
