ARTICULO 55 . DERECHO PREFERENCIAL. Cuando por motivos de reorganización de una dependencia o de traslado de funciones de una entidad a otra, o por cualquier otra causa se supriman cargos de carrera desempeñados por empleados inscritos en el escalafón, éstos tendrán derecho preferencial a ser nombrados en puestos equivalentes de la nueva planta de personal, o en los existentes o que se creen en la entidad a la cual se trasladan las funciones.
