Para ascender a la Jerarquía Militar, desde Subteniente o Teniente de Corbeta hasta Brigadier General o Contralmirante, inclusive, los oficiales de las Fuerzas Militares, además de los requisitos establecidos en el Capítulo III, Título II, del Decreto 612 de 1977, y en los Artículos pertinentes de este Decreto, deben contar en todos los casos con el concepto favorable de la Junta Asesora del Ministerio de Defensa.
