El Instituto Colombiano para el Fomento de la Educación Superior, Icfes, tendrá un Director General, quien es agente del Presidente de la República, de su libre nombramiento y remoción y ejercerá la representación legal de la entidad. Para ser Director del Instituto Colombiano para el Fomento de la Educación Superior, Icfes, se requiere acreditar los requisitos exigidos en el artículo 42 de la Ley 30 de 1992.
