Los funcionarios de que trata el artículo anterior podrán solicitar, a su turno, que se elija fianza de responsabilidad a todos los subalternos que en su concepto deban responder del manejo y custodia de fondos, materiales, víveres y demás elementos que estén bajo su inmediata custodia. Dichas fianzas se harán por las cuantías que fije el Contralor General de la Republica.
