El Administrador General es el agente inmediato del Gobierno en todo lo relativo a la administración de las salinas marítimas, y obrará conforme a las órdenes del Ministerio de Hacienda. Tiene el carácter de empleado de manejo y prestará, en los términos del Código Fiscal, caución hipotecaria o prendaria por valor de ocho mil pesos ( $ 8.000 ).
