El Estado Mayor general, de conformidad con el Presupuesto de Gastos vigente y con las asignaciones en él señaladas, tendrá el personal siguiente: Un General Jefe, que puede ser del empleo de General en Jefe ó de General de División; Un General primer Ayudante general; Dos primeros Ayudantes generales; Un primer Ayudante general, Secretario del Estado Mayor general; Dos primeros Ayudantes Archiveros. Un Corneta de Ordenes; Un Conserje; Un Inspector general del Ejército; Cuatro Generales Jefes de mesa; Cuatro Generales ó Coroneles Subjefes de mesa; Cuatro Capitanes primeros Adjuntos; Cuatro Tenientes segundos Adjuntos; Cuatro Subtenientes terceros Adjuntos; y Cuatro Sargentos primeros Ordenanzas;
