El Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores podrá solicitar a la Dirección Nacional de Inteligencia, un informe de carácter reservado que contenga la situación judicial del extranjero, así como también datos que sean de carácter relevante y complementen el estudio del trámite de naturalización. En el evento en que el informe no sea satisfactorio, el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores podrá negar la nacionalidad colombiana por adopción al solicitante.
