ARTICULO 11. Nombramiento. Para ser nombrado Agente de la Policía Nacional es indispensable haber cursado y aprobado los estudios reglamentarios en la respectiva escuela de formación y ser propuesto para tal cargo por el Director del Instituto.

Parágrafo

El personal del cuerpo auxiliar de policía que haya prestado servicio militar obligatorio en la Policía Nacional y obtenido su tarjeta de reservista, podrá ser nombrado como Agente Profesional por el Director General de la Policía Nacional, siempre y cuando reúna los demás requisitos que se exijan en este Estatuto.
