El Defensor del Pueblo establecerá mediante reglamento los requisitos mínimos que deberán cumplir los defensores públicos de acuerdo con las categorías a que se refiere este capítulo, así como para contratar abogados particulares en aquellas regiones apartadas del país en donde sea insuficiente o no exista oferta de servicios profesionales para la prestación del servicio de defensoría pública.
